SPSS is scalable from a small roof-based plant to multi-megawatt facility. Each size provides a number of options for local and remote monitoring.
2-100kW
Small plant consists of PV panels, inverter (one or many), energy meter and CyBro controller. Controller collects measurements from inverters and sends them to solar-cybro server (this site). Server displays measurements and graphs, keeps history data, sends e-mail reports, and allows remote setup and control. Another option is Solar Mini, it runs on local PC or touch panel.
Currently supported inverters are Power-One, Refu and Kaco. SMA and others are beeing added. Plant may be public or private. In such case, user is provided with username and password.
100-500kW
Medium plant consists of PV panels, string monitor boxes, central inverter, energy meter and solar controller. String monitors measure string currents. Solar controller collects measurements, and sends them to server. Server may be located within plant facility, or remotely. Hosting service on solar-cybro server is also available.
Currently supported are SanRex and ABB invertes, although any inverter with disclosed protocol and standard hardware interface (RS232/422/485/CAN/Ethernet) can be supported.
1MW and more
Large plant consists of blocks, organized into sections. Each block is build around central inverter and solar controller, same as a medium plant. The total number of blocks is virtually unlimited.
All options available for medium plants are also available for a large plant. Plant is fully scalable, new section automatically integrates into the existing system.
